“Take that junk to the altar in your mind, strike a match, and light it on fire. As the smoke goes up, tell the Lord: ‘I am giving this to You as a sacrifice of praise, because I believe You and not how I feel.'”
Standing in the Storm:
Protecting Your Peace When Weather Hits
Storms don’t just stay outside in the rain—they try to hit your mind, your emotions, and the people around you. When unfair criticism, bitter attacks, or overwhelming feelings roll in, you have the authority in Christ to refuse to let them destroy what God is doing. Check your own heart, ask for forgiveness if you stepped out of line, profess God’s promises out loud, and burn the rest at the altar.
Jesus gave His life so you could walk in freedom, not so you would be controlled by circumstances, emotions, or bitter words from other people.
The Command: Confess what God says about you out loud, burn the offense as a sacrifice of praise, and let Him carry you through to calm and sunny days.
