TimeOut: We Don’t Understand 🦁
We are unable to understand how God thinks.
Hey, how are you? It is the new year—2026. Wow, time just flies.
What I want to talk to you about today is really understanding that we are unable to understand how God thinks. As humans, we want to figure it out. We want to understand why something happened or what is going on in someone else’s head.
But the more I see God work, the more I realize He makes miraculous things take place in situations that make no sense to me. It wasn’t at all what I thought He should do or was going to do.
You Are in Wait Mode
We are quick to say, “The devil is attacking me!” or “So-and-so did me wrong.” We find someone to blame rather than realizing: God hasn’t stepped in yet. God hasn’t moved yet. I’m in wait mode.
Listen, waiting is a super good practice. It has to take place for us to be able to hear from God. But if you are waiting for something to happen a certain way, you aren’t waiting on God. You are waiting on your way to take place.
God Doesn’t Do It Your Way
The point of the matter is God doesn’t ever, ever, ever do things the way you think He will.
I cannot tell you how many times I have had such a “good idea” that I thought God was on board with, and then He did the total opposite. And in the end? It was amazing.
So come to the firm conclusion that you aren’t going to be able to figure this out. Choose to be at rest. Know that He will never leave you or forsake you. Stop trying to pre-orchestrate what should happen and wait on God.
Love you guys,
– Texas 🦁
