The Trench Reality:
Let One-Sided Relationships Die
If you are continuously calling, checking in, and sending gifts to people who do not respond or celebrate you, you must stop. You cannot want a relationship more than the other person does. Holding onto expectations for people who do not care will only result in you feeling crushed and rejected. The only way to be truly free is to back off and let that one-sided relationship die.
God’s plan works, and you do not get where you are going unless you continue. I am celebrating 11 years of sobriety because I chose to stand on objective truth.
The Command: Go through the grieving process of letting that relationship die, and then get free. Stop letting their lack of response wound you. Choose to go where you are celebrated, and trust that Jesus will provide the love and celebration you need.
