I don’t know how many of you know the full story, but I was a drug addict for 28 years. I wasn’t a “weekend warrior”—I was a junkie. I sold drugs for most of my life. I’ve been to jail and prison 13 times.
But looking back, I can see that every step in that process was part of my healing. God used all of it to get me to where I am today: Making A Radical Difference.
1 Million Tablets & 120,000 New Readers
The work we are doing is exploding. My first book, Deep in the Heart of Texas, is now on 1 million prison tablets. Just this year, we have had 120,000 new readers. That is 120,000 inmates hearing the message that God loves them and hasn’t given up on them.
What’s Coming Next?
I’ve spent the last two and a half years writing my new book (dictating it, actually, because I can’t type!). It is finished and should be on the market in four weeks.
This new book is the story that deserves to be told—not just about my addiction, but about how Jesus held onto me through it all. It’s about Stay Lit …freedom that lasts.
