TimeOut: Nasty Season 🦁

You Are Not Stuck Here.

I was thinking this week about the seasons. It is amazing how important each season is for the world and for our lives. The new stuff doesn’t come if we don’t go through the season.

It’s been cold for everyone lately, and it’s easy to complain. But it’s important for us to keep telling ourselves: We’re not stuck here. Spring is coming. And when spring comes, new life is going to come. New things are going to bloom.

The Purpose of the Pain

The same thing happens in every season of our lives. Things have to burn away. Sometimes, things have to get so hot and so uncomfortable until we need to change something, or the people around us have to change something. It is coming for a reason.

In the Fall, sometimes it feels like everything is falling apart and nothing is going right. We wonder if it will ever end. But we have to be aware of the dead stuff falling away, because we know the new stuff won’t grow until the dead stuff gets swept away.

Hold On to Jesus

Whatever season you are in, celebrate it. Look around and see what God is trying to change in you. What does He want you to see, recognize, feel, and move on from?

We can sit around and mope, whine, and complain about what’s wrong. Or we can say, “Hey, this is temporary, and what God is doing has got to be good because God always does what’s best.”

Hold on tight—not to your way, or your situation, or what you think should happen. Hold on to Jesus, cause He has a new season coming.

Love you guys,
– Texas 🦁
