Find The Family You Need
If your biological family is not checking in on you or carrying the weight with you, stop waiting for them to do it. You need to find people who will stand on the front lines with you. We all have issues, and we all use things like food, spending, or sex to cope. You need a group where you can drop the shield and be heard without someone trying to fix you.
God’s plan works, and you do not get where you are going unless you continue. I am celebrating 11 years clean because I chose to stand on objective truth.
The Command: Find a Celebrate Recovery meeting. It is not just for drug addicts; it is tactical discipleship. If you are in the Lake Placid area, come to South Oak on Wednesday nights. Go check it out and find the family you need to hold your perimeter.
