The Good News: You Aren’t Getting What You Deserve. 👑
Thank goodness that belonging to Christ ensures that we don’t get what we deserve! If we did, we’d all be in a lot of trouble. We’re full of sin, spite, unforgiveness, doubt, and fear. But because of Jesus, we have a chance to do something different.
God ransomed me from myself—from my own stupidity, foolishness, and drug addiction. He loved me and wanted connection with me so much that He made a way for all those things to be forgiven. And the best part? Even when you aren’t connected to Him, He is still connected to you because He is perfect in all His ways.
Living in Freedom
If you want to live in a place of joy and peace, you have to do the work. You have to ask: “Lord, what are you saying here? What do you want me to do?” Your willingness to obey has to be consumed by Him. That means every single day, you’re looking to Him for what’s next.
Life is hard. Bad things happen. But I know who Jesus is and I know how He feels about me. I won’t let myself be distracted from that truth, and I don’t want you to be either.
Listen to the Lord this week. Obey what He tells you to do. I promise you, your life will be filled with exactly what you need to get through whatever problems come your way.
