Repentance brings excellence. ✨

Reminder:

Repentance brings excellence. ✨

Encouragement:

Do not think of the word repentance as shameful. It is not. Your life grows in steps, not leaps. Admitting where you have gone astray helps you identify the correct direction to go. Take each step as it comes, one at a time, and make deliberate decisions in accordance with My instruction. Then you will have all you need to progress in a way that is pleasing to Me.

Guidance:

“If you are right with God, He strengthens you for the journey; the Eternal will be pleased with your life.”
— Psalm 37:23 (VOICE)

  1. I love this. Thanks for the good word! We all need a reminder to make that 180 and do something different.

    • Different actions bring different results. I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment.

  2. Yes, when a believer is caught in a besetting sin, an addiction. they must becareful . Simply admitting you sinned will not be enough. In 1John 1:9 we are told to confess but it is much more that an admission of guilt. It means we must see it as God sees it. He sees it as something so dirty we should be afraid to touch or even think it. It is something that threatens to ruin your life and even kill you. You can look at a Coral snake and think it’s pretty but you better stay away. You can’t play with addiction either. Next, if you have had this addiction for a while you need to repent in 2 ways. First, change your mind on thinking there is anything positive about your addiction. These thoughts will fool you. “Oh, I feel better afterwards. ” Next, repent of any thoughts of failure. Now is the time to have faith. Trust in God to deliver you through the pain and temptation to avoid the pain that is coming. Lastly, prayer specifically. Ask God to erase any positive thoughts and memories concerning your addiction. He is faithful to answer you. Follow Roman’s 12:1,2. Tell God you will be a living sacrifice and will continually renew your mind with scripture. He promises you will discover His will.

    • Thank you so much for these simple and direct steps that are straight from the Word of God. Wonderful advice.
