Seeking after items or possessions
will absorb the mental space that’s meant for Me. Tangible
things that appear to be valuable offer no lasting benefit.
Truth to tell, fulfilling wrong desires actually decreases your
spiritual net worth. This is a dangerous practice because I
refuse to force My way in. Be conscious of the true riches
around you and cherish them. Keep your focus on the gifts
I give you for they are the only wealth that lasts.
Guidance:
Don’t love the world’s ways. Don’t love the
world’s goods. Love of the world squeezes out love for the
Father. Practically everything that goes on in the world—
wanting your own way, wanting everything for yourself,
wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the
Father. It just isolates you from Him. The world and all its
wanting, wanting, wanting is on the way out…
