A Firm Foundation
Ministry Partners,
Life can be tough, no doubt. The pressures of work, money, and relationships often feel like a crushing weight, and the emotional roller coaster never seems to stop. But what if we could live above it all? What if you could find peace and purpose even when the world around you looks like it is falling apart? This year, our ministry has seen firsthand how God provides a firm foundation in the most unexpected places. I want to share a story with you that embodies this truth, a testament to God’s unwavering love and purpose.
Finding Hope in Hopelessness
Twelve years ago, our dear friend Michelle Postaski was sentenced to 50 years in prison at just 26 years old. It was a life-altering sentence for a first-time offense; the result of one terrible choice made at the wrong place and time. For her mother, Donna, and for the rest of us who knew her, the news was devastating. In that moment of heart-wrenching pain, as Donna hugged her sobbing daughter at sentencing, Michelle kept repeating, “It’s okay, Mom. I’m okay. Don’t be sad. Gods got this.”
Michelle’s faith wasn’t born out of ease, but out of a desperate need for hope. She’d been a girl who went to church, but it wasn’t until she was in county jail, facing a life sentence, that she truly met God. She found a peace that made no sense, a peace that sustains her through these 12 long years and counting.
She reminds herself daily of three truths:
- God loves us with all His heart.
- He’s in charge of everything.
- He always does what’s best.
For Michelle, her time in prison isn’t a pointless tragedy. It’s a stage for God’s work. As she wisely asks, “What if there are people in prison who will never know Christ if they never know me?” Her life has become a beacon of hope for hundreds of thousands of inmates. She ministers to them, offering a hand to those who feel completely alone and powerless. She knows that God is her protector, provider, and her peace.
Her story is not over, though. Please pray specifically that her motion to correct illegal sentencing is granted, resulting in a reduction of her time. And that God will continue to use her life as a potent reminder that God is always at work, even in our darkest moments. He brings magnificent power into what we might see as grim and empty outcomes.
Our Purpose
Texas has two discipleship tools and her first book on 1 million prison tablets and has reached 148,000 new readers to date. Our ministry exists to support and equip people like Michelle. We help those who are struggling, both inside and outside the walls of incarceration, to find that same firm foundation in Christ. We help them see that giving back to the people God has placed around them gives their lives purpose. That is, if we can reach them.
This year, your generosity has allowed A Radical Difference to continue this vital work. Your support has helped us provide resources, spiritual guidance, and a constant reminder that no one is beyond God’s reach. Your gifts enable us to walk alongside individuals, helping them believe that even through the impossible, God’s got this.
As we approach the end of the year, we humbly ask for your ongoing support. Texas has finished her second book. Stay Lit … freedom that lasts. The cost to format, design the cover, print, create an e-book, and publish it to 1 million prison tablets will be about $15,000. It’s a book you won’t want to miss, I can assure you.
If you are a monthly donor, please pray about increasing your gift. If you’re donating for the first time, any amount expands our reach of hope and redemption to more people who desperately need to hear it.
Together, we can continue to witness lives being transformed, just as Michelle’s has been. Please consider making a year-end gift today, and please share our ministry as much as possible. We need more partners just like you.
With immense gratitude,
A Radical Difference Ministry Team and Texas
