Being Well Means Becoming Well. 🌱
I’ll be honest with you guys—it’s Wednesday, and I was sitting here thinking, “Lord, I have absolutely nothing to tell them.”
Most of these videos are about what’s going on in my life and the action happening around me. But lately? All I’ve been doing is sitting here writing. Writing, writing, writing. It feels like nothing is happening on the outside. But immediately, I felt the Lord check my heart. He asked me, “Are you going to say that everything I’m doing IN you through this writing process is nothing?”
Ouch. Whoops. That’s not what I meant.
The Truth About Healing
The paragraphs I spend the most time on—the ones I wrestle with for hours—are usually the ones where the Lord is speaking directly to me. I take this responsibility seriously because I never want to misrepresent who God is willing to be for us. So, I decided to read you a piece of what I’m working on. It’s a truth straight from the “eye of the storm.”
“You have been healed. You are being healed. And you will be healed all at once. That’s how it goes in the eternal realm. It’s all about allowing my truth to overtake you. And that’s a process. There’s always a process. And one of the most important things for you to learn is not to despise that process. It may sound silly to you, but being well means becoming well. And this, my child, is not something I do for you. It’s something I do in you.”
Submission Over Striving
This is so powerful because we have to realize: This is not something we are working for.
You are not trying to make yourself better. You can’t strive your way into wholeness. What you need to be working on—what you need to focus your energy on—is allowing God to work what He wants in you. That is our part. Submission to His process.
So, as you go throughout your week, I want you to really think about that. Where are you trying to force a result, and where can you be more submitted to whatever process God has you in right now?
