TimeOut: How to Use Fear in Your Favor ⚡
A Different Kind of Fear
Happy Wednesday! This week, I want to talk to you about fear. Fear is not an emotion I have experienced a lot of in my life. I used to have this crazy, rebellious, psycho drug-addict thing going on where I was convinced I was invincible, so I was pretty fearless.
But lately, I have experienced fear in a new way because I have some things going on that I have never had to deal with before. It can be absolutely crushing if it doesn’t turn out the way you think it should, but it cannot be crushing to me because I know my God is in charge.
Stop Scheming Your Own Way Out
We are so quick to panic. We have a million ways to try and work things out ourselves. Our brains are really good at scheming up our own plans instead of stopping to hear from the Father. The problem is, when we do it our way, we only get our own results—and those are never the results we really wanted.
“This is a clue to how much I need to depend on the Lord in this circumstance.”
Use Fear As A Clue
Fear is actually a clue. It is a reminder for you to slow down and get connected to God, because you cannot do this without Him. If you could do it without Him, you wouldn’t have any fear!
So when fear pops up, instead of panicking, say: “Wow, God must be doing something that I can’t do without Him, so I need to pay attention.” That completely squashes the fear and brings excitement, because you know God is at work and you get to be a part of it.
When you have fear come up this week, or anytime in your life, remember it is just a reminder to tune into what God is doing. You need His help, because it is something you cannot do alone.
Love you guys, and I will see you next week!
