I have to be honest with you all. This isn’t a “genie in a bottle” kind of thing where you just wish for results. The other day, my car went “ding-ding”—I was almost out of gas. I realized I hadn’t needed even gasoline since I left jail 11 years ago!
Here’s The Truth: Your Need is God’s Cue.
I walked away from jail in 2014 with absolutely nothing. Everything I have gotten since then—from marketplace finds to rewards on a credit card—came because my heart, mind, and soul are committed to obeying the voice I hear.
When the Lord says, “I said no,” I go, “Whoops,” and back up, trying to do what I’m doing in a different way. The emptiness you feel is your heart calling out for Him. Doing without makes you notice what is important and makes you hear things differently.
What This Means For You: Everything You Need for Godliness.
The awesome truth is that God responds to your heart calling out for him. Because your heart is committed to obeying what you hear God say, He gives me everything I need for life and godliness.
Don’t believe the lie that you need as much as you think you do. Stop working like a slave, remember you are a citizen of the Kingdom. Access the power that’s within you by staying connected to the King of Kings.
